Hello guys, gals, and everyone who put a check in the"other" box. It's been a while since I did a legit journal post here letting you guys know what's going on my life. So, here goes (warning it contains drama):
First off, and what's probably been the most prevalent in my mind is my dad (Happy belated Father's Day to any dads following me, btw! ). Recently he's been in an accident that resulted in his shoulder being dislocated. Now, I say recently for 2 reasons:
1. The actual incident occurred 3 months ago.
2. He's been in chronic excruciating pain ever since.
He hasn't know a decent night's sleep since then, and his pain meds don't do much to take the edge off. He needs surgery, but his insurance is... well, let's just say he's on the waiting list... and we're not ok with that. What's worse is that the pain has caused him to turn down alot of work, which is doubly bad because these days, I work with/for him. Effectively putting me out of work. I'm back on the job hunt again, by the way . At least that opens up my schedule a bit...
Speaking of which (end of drama), in between recent events, I'm getting back to a more regularly-drawing schedule. That means me finishing up these last few requests I have, and working on commissions and other personal pieces. So moar artz coming soon! Speaking of artz, I have a few experimental ideas I want to gauge with you guys: webcomics. If I started working on a semi-annual webcomic series (or two), would you guys be interested in reading it? I've always wanted to do one, but never actually tried... if it turns out well, it could be fun. We'll see.
Another thing to point out is that I noticed there are some new followers here since I last checked. To the new people, I say, "Hi!" Welcome to my page, and I hope you enjoy your stay. I like to draw teh ladies alot, as you can already tell, but I hope to expand into other areas as well. At any rate, thanks for the +watch, the likes, and comments you leave in the future. Same thing goes for all you folks who have been here a while, too.
Well, I think that about covers it for now for this State of the Artist. Here's hoping to be more active here, and to continue to grow as an artist.
